 PP (Polypropylene)

A widely used synthetic fiber in textile yarns, featuring low density (0.91g/cm³, 10% lighter than polyester), high strength, wear resistance, chemical resistance, hydrophobicity, breathability, and moderate cost. It is extensively applied in industrial textiles, garment accessories, home textiles, and other fields.

 Common Specifications & Parameters (Industry Standards)

1. Fiber Cross-Section: Round (standard), profiled (triangular, hollow-enhances luster or warmth).
2. Filament Count (F): Common counts include 12F, 24F, 36F, 48F, 72F. More filaments result in a finer hand feel and better coverage.
3. Twist: FDY is usually untwisted or low-twisted (50-200 T/M); DTY can be twisted as needed (100-500 T/M). High twist improves yarn stability.
4. Breaking Strength: 50D FDY ≥2.5N, 300D FDY ≥15N; 50D DTY ≥2.0N, 300D DTY ≥12N.
5. Color Fastness: Sunlight fastness ≥3-4 grades, washing fastness ≥3 grades (suitable for high-temperature dyeing with disperse dyes).
